Doesn't follow up on tele medical appointments when scheduled. Also, office doesn't follow up or call back the patient with a professional and quick response. Not a good practice.
Counselor was apathetic and unprofessional. Couldn’t properly process a simple prescription. Office unresponsive. Worst practice I have ever dealt with
I've been trying to get a refill Rx for 5 weeks now. Numerous messages and request from my pharmacy have gone unanswered. Most poorly run office I've ever dealt with.
Initially, ketamine treatment went well, although relapsed after 2 weeks. The care I received afterwards when I fell into a very dangerous depression was irresponsible. Very poor communication, they never confirmed retreival of other medical records, & doctor should have addressed the situation himself. Very disappointing in the end, and I will not return. Initially a good experience, although I changed my review to reflect the lack of patient follow up care & lack of professionalism.
I appreciate how he acknowledges that mental disorders are physical diseases and approaches them from a science evidence-based research angle. It is obvious he is an absolute expert about neurological disorders and takes the time to explain even the most complicated subjects. It makes me feel secure that my doctor wants me to know exactly what the disorder is and how to tackle it. I also enjoy seeing him bc each time I learn SO much. He is a plethora of interesting knowledge.
My elderly mother has been seeing Dr Pollack for several years for anxiety and depression management. She has gotten progressively worse. A year ago we scheduled a neuropsychiatric exam to test for dementia, but he talked her into cancelling it. She continued to decline and ended up being hospitalized with paranoid delusions and hallucinations. She is currently getting diagnosed at Lee Memorial Memory Clinic, and are searching for a competent psychiatrist for ongoing care. Office staff is rude.
When 1st consulted w/ him re TMS treatments, he said "probably " covered by insur. Then he stated I needed TBS due to high anxiety, $2000 for ten 15 min sessions. Smelled of bait & switch, but needed relief & trusted him....stay far away!!! W/ 2 sessions left, staff advised me couldn't help me after treatment. High anxiety, couldn't return for last 2 sessions. Husband felt we're entitled to refund of $400, left numerous messages, no courtesy of return call.... holier than thou attitude.
I was truly amazed this Doctor came out on New Year's day to continue testing with my Brother in a Psychiatric facility. He spent a lot of time with me and asked a lot of questions about my brother. He Also took the time to educate me on things going on with my brother. Hats off to this man...
If I could leave zero stars I would. Sub-par customer service, argumentative staff, poor communication, will not answer phone or return phone calls. Stay far, far away from this office.
