While my wife was pregnant Dr Wicker told my wife that she was overweight and to go on the South Beach Diet. He continually made errors in her weight and his bedside manner was unacceptable. I am not sure why the above posters said how great he was. After a number of visits Dr Wicker was consistently bad with horrible bed side manner. The other doctors were wonderful!
I transferred to Dr. Wicker in the middle of my pregnancy after seeing an OBGyn that I did not trust. I knew I was in good hands after visiting with Dr. Wicker for the first time. He was patient, pleasant, and certainly an expert in his field. He became familiar with my medical history and presented his plan for my delivery. There was another Dr in the practice I was not thrilled with so on my next visit I change to Dr Wicker this was the best thing I ever did, what a caring Dr he is great and I am so happy with the service I get from him and his office staff.
Dr. Wicker is a wonderful OB who is knowledgable, patient, and always willing to explain/answer questions. Even when I've had to page him on a weekend, he calls back promptly and patiently asks questions to understand what is going on. He allows a lot of patient interaction in a care plan, which I appreciate because not all doctors do this. He does not sugarcoat situations, and will tell you right away if the situation is grave and why, but he has a caring bedside manner. I never feel rushed when I have an appt with him.
