I had a ruptured L4-L5 disc. Dr. Barry didn't want to rush to a surgical procedure, which I greatly appreciated. He recommended a spinal injection to see if that would eliminate the inflammation and pain, as well as help identify which nerve group was causing the pain. Unfortunately, that procedure ultimately wasn't successful, and I am scheduled for a microdiscectomy later this month and I feel comfortable this minimally invasive procedure will do the trick.
Dr. Berry is all I needed in a spine surgeon -- and more.
Doctor Berry excelled where neurosurgeons failed me. I went to multiple neurosurgeons before Berry and dealt with waiting weeks or months before my next appointment where I would often not even see the doctor, but a registered nurse who could only read an MRI as well as I could. Berry is knowledgeable, answers questions, is mindful of daily life and the wonderful bureaucratic nonsense that is medical and auto insurance. Most importantly, he does follow up visits where others don't consider it.
After getting jacked around by another health care facility associated with a major university, I finally got in to Dr Berry. He saw the problem right away and made suggestions to fix it. He talked at my level and is very down to earth. He actually asked me questions and listened to me.
I saw Dr Berry for a back problem that I had for 3 years. It had kept me from work and life. He fixed my back and was a kind and knowledgable doctor. I really appreciate him and would recommend him.

Dr. Berry is a comfortable person to be around. Very friendly and knowledgeable.
Dr. Barry said my mom was crying for attention when HE could not provide the necessary treatment for her. He did not want to look at the MRIs he specifically made us waste money on. He tried leaving the room without finishing and we had to close the door on him. He is the worst doctor in the history of all doctors. Do not go to him or you will come out crying.
I appreciated the fact that even though my main concern when talking to you was with my back and leg problems, you were willing to discuss the fact that I had marked neck discomfort as well.
