My name is Joseph Femoyer.Dr Kalimi performed open heart surgery on me on 4/5/2019 Friday at South Side hospital.he replaced my Mitral valve,repaired my Tricuspid valve,performed an ablation and removed my appendage.i also had 2 stents inserted in my LAD artery.Dr Kalimi saved my life when no one else wanted to take the risk.i will always be eternally grateful as I was very sick and close to death.Dr Kalimi and his staff were great and took care of me like I was family.60 days after my surgery I’m back to doing things I have... read more
My surgery was done in April 2012. I had triple bypass, mitral valve repair, and ASD (atrial septic defect). Dr Kalimi was my surgeon. I am enjoying the highest quality of an active life for a 65 year old person. I credit my excellent health to my devotion to a healthy diet, plenty of exercise, and common sense lifestyle choices. The foundation of my post operative recovery can be directly attributed to the surgery performed by Dr. Kalimi. Life is good, thanks to Dr. K.
I would like to know if it is common practice to trach a patient only a couple hours after surgery, without even attempting to intebate them? Doesn't seem like a very educated medical decision, if you ask me. You told us to trust you, too bad we did. Now my father is laying in the hospital for months now, like a vegetable. You might know that if you had even cared enough to follow up or call his family to see how he was doing. Last time you had contact with him was when you released him.
Dr. Kalimi has done major heart surgery on both my dad(12/2013) and more recently, my stepdad (12/2016). Neither one would be here today had it not been for his skill, team, knowledge and care for his patients. My dad had a double bypass with an elevated risk of blood clots. My stepdad had a very complex myriad of things going against him. Valve replacement, double bypass, a large mass on his heart, along w/ diabetes. I wouldn't let anyone else do his surgery besides Dr.Kalimi. He's amazing!!!!
Dr. Kalimi is an outstanding surgeon in every sense, from demeanor to surgical skill. He and his team are all "A-Team", and the care I was given at the Southside Hospital CCU, prior to and post surgery was superb.
