After my previous orthopedic surgeon retired, I had to find a new one because of some pain in my shoulder. Dr. Sigmund had excellent reviews on several web sites and I decided to give him a try. So this was my first time seeing him for shoulder pain. He was friendly and answered my questions. I felt like he spent sufficient time with me and I was comfortable talking with him. Dr Sigmund was easy to talk with. He explained in detail what was wrong with me knees and what I can do to help myself ease the pain and advice about surgery.
Dr Sigmund is an excellent surgeon and I'm happy to report my new knee is perfectly placed! His staff is very friendly, supportive and responsive. My surgical experience in the outpatient surgery center could not have been any better. However, I do feel that doctor Sigmund is a bit rushed during office appointments, and at this last appointment, was not as proactive in helping me resolve a long-standing problem as I would have expected. Dr. Sigmund performs the new Non-invasive Superpath hip surgery. (Very few surgeons are certified for this.) I travelled 3 hours to have this done by Dr. Sigmund. His personal team is very easy to connect with. They always called back that day and were knowledgeable. The surgery was done at Mercy South Medical Center, St. Louis.
