Dr. Ahmed is wonderful--not just a terrific surgeon, but a kind, thoughtful human being. He actually called me the day after my surgery just to see how I was doing. He explained my condition and everything about the procedure to me, took the time to answer all my questions without ever making me feel rushed. Dr. Ahmed performed an outpatient surgery on me last month, and everything went great. He was recommended by my GP--they were classmates at Georgetown, if memory serves--and Dr. Ahmed just was a breeze to work with. I appreciate his combination of a friendly demeanor with a sense of humor, and I especially appreciated the fact that after surgery, I had only about one day of real down-time for recovery, I only felt like taking over-the-counter painkillers for a couple of days, and never took any prescription painkillers at al... read more
I was very fortunate that my primary doctor recommended Dr. Ahmed for hernia surgery. He is an excellent communicator and fully explained the surgery and addressed all of my concerns in an easy to comprehend way. The surgery went very well and I was delighted with the medical care I received and the post surgery guidance. Dr. Ahmed's is a compassionate physician and he is also very professional, courteous and respectful as is his staff.
