I had several appointments with Dr. Robert Stinger at Inova Fairfax Hospital, and my experience was extremely disappointing. At every visit, his attitude felt cold, dismissive, and rushed without much thought. During my most recent appointment, he barely made eye contact, spent only a few minutes with me, and showed little to no interest in my ongoing pain or concerns. I consider myself lucky to have Dr. Stinger as my Orthopedic doctor. He is one of the best doctors I got to know. He took the time to show the results of my knee x-ray and explained my conditions and my options. On my way out of his office, he told me “I am here for you” and I believe he cares about his patients.
DR Stinger was so kind to me as a new patient I have been in pain 3 years and 2 other orthopedic drs said they would not operate on me he ordered X-rays right away and confirmed I definitely need a knee replacement!! I am so grateful I wish I would have seen him 2 years ago been suffering so horribly with osteoarthritis!! Thank you !!
I take my 92-year-old father to A LOT of doctors. Dr. Stinger is one of the best. He makes an effort to get close to my father and speaks clearly and slowly so my father can hear and understand what he says. He looks my father in the eye, listens, and answers all of his questions. Most doctors practically ignore my father and only talk to me, putting me in the position of acting like an interpreter.
