Like others, I too recently got an anesthesia bill (from a procedure over 18 months ago) for $3300. Again, the anesthesia company (Xenon) was out of my insurance net, so I'm stuck with trying to argue down the cost. I would not recommend this place unless it can coordinate its insurance contracts with those of its contracted anesthesiologists. If ever you get referred to this place, call first and confirm that the doc and the anesthesiologist are with the same providers. Disgusted.

I also received a $5000 bill from the anesthesiologist company. I had no idea the anesthesiologist would be out of network since the doctor and Ironwood Gastroenterology was in network. $5000 for colonoscopy anesthesia is super inflated! I've checked around town and found I could get three colonoscopies with anesthesia for that $5000

1. Dr. Safdar never mentioned a. that I had a choice to not be put completely under for the colonoscopy and b. that the anesthesiologist he uses was out of my insurance network, even though Dr. Safdar is in the Aetna network. x 2. Dr. Michael Duran conducted spent 10 minutes looking at his cell phone while I waited for the procedure to begin. The cost I have been billed is $5000 and the bill just came even though I had the procedure 16 months ago!

I have been diagnosed...and that is all. I've been trying to get in contact with Dr. Safdar's office, assistant, or anyone in the world that will actually answer a phone and speak to me. Last contact was May 7, 2017 (today is Jan. 26, 2018), when the assistant stated, and I quote, "I will look into it tomorrow and let you know what their estimated date has been moved to" (referring to possible medication that could help me). Still have heard nothing. Unacceptable. And the wait time is ridiculous

I have never been so frustrated with a medical practice as I have been with Dr. Safdar's office. I saw Dr. Safdar and he recommended a CT scan for me, he left the office, and a nurse comes and in tells me that someone will call me in a couple of days with the CR order. Well, that never happened. I have called, left messages, called again, get cut off at least half of the time, it is now a almost 2 weeks and I still do not have an CT order..I have given up. Don't go to this office.
