I called 7 times to cancel a procedure. Had to leave a message. The voicemail said I would be contacted withing 24 hours. Nobody called me back. I finally talked to someone, and I asked them to cancel the procedure. Today Northwest Medical called to confirm the procedure. I told them it had been cancelled. Nobody from Dr. Safdar's office had let Northwest know it had been cancelled.

Dr. Safdar has been my gastroenterologist for over 10 years. From the very first appointment, he demonstrated incredible empathy and professionalism in addressing my complex medical conditions. His precise diagnosis of my small intestine Crohn’s disease has significantly changed the treatment and management of Crohn’s disease for the better. Dr. Safdar not only possesses vast knowledge in his field but also has an exceptional ability to explain complex medical terms in a comprehensible and accessible manner. On my initial visit, he was late by a half an hour. He spent less than 2 minutes with me and left the room. At the colonoscopy, he didn't say anything before or after the procedure. He did not say anything about the results!

Clerk did not show the co-pay of $25.00. I was billed. Billing blamed me, said I should have asked for a receipt. I was sent to the WRONG place for my procedures by the schedular. I could not get a follow-up appointment. Doctor was terrible. Did not speak to me prior to or after the procedures. I would never go back.

I visited him for a consultation about treatment options for a gastrointestinal genetic mutation I had recently been diagnosed with. When I told him the name of the mutation he said "Oh [curse word]!". That type of bedside manner makes it hard to feel optimistic. Then after some discussion he revealed that he was thinking of another mutation and he had never even heard of mine. I had to pull up on article about it on my phone and he read it on my phone during the appointment while I sat there. I want my doctors to have up-to... read more

Dr. Safdar spent 90 seconds with me on my initial appointment, refused to examine my abdomen, and refused to look at my CT scan. It turned out that I had ascites, which a radiologist failed to mention in the report. I'll never return to this doctor.
