Dr. Richard Daly is a great doctor for me. He spent 1 hour on my first appointment and about 15 minutes per appointment after that. He has lowered the dose on 1 medication and completely eliminated another over the course of 9 months. I like staff and always reach a live person when I call by phone. I recommend Dr. Daly.
Dr. Daly only needed to write prescriptions for me and that is all he did - no discussions, ideas, suggestions, concerns. He doesn't really seem interested in this patient in the least. Dr. Daly is ALWAYS late, always. The longest I had to wait was 1 hour and 50 minutes, the least was 40 minutes. the only office staff member that tried to be friendly and that stayed more than a few months was the lady that greets patients, she was very nice. Stay away from this Dr. he has little time for you and writes scripts without explaing anything to you.
This Dr. needs a new bedside manner, or maybe its time to retire? How old is he?! I came to BayCare for help, get this Old Dr. who looks like HE needs a Dr. Won't let me talk (Times Up Kiddies!") He just writes scripts, I went there 3 mos. before I was told hes just a "Meds Dr." Well I didn't even know there WAS such a thing? Really?! This is my first psych for depression and anxiety. He is not showing any sign of empathy. He expects you you remember the directions to wean yourself from your meds to start new ones. As a professional, he should have given written directions. Maybe i should have asked. Please be aware people do not stop taking your long term anti depressants without a plan,,you will become extremely sick as i was. This is a horrible doctor and worse staff. Doesn't listen to you at all. Hasn't helped me at all. Went in with one meds not working changed me to something that made me feel worse then changed me back to original meds that I was on that wasn't working. Run from this guy he doesn't give a rats a-- how you feel.
Dr. Daly has been my mother's Psychiatrist for 10 years. She has declined in health in the past year and have been helping her with her doctors. Tried to get a medication situation taken care of and after 5 days of not getting a call back. call again and was called back the next day. My mother was referred to him. She usually see's the ARNP. Phone contact is next to impossible "we have a new phone system" is the usual response. After 1 year that should be worked out. If you are 5 minutes late they re-schedule. If the doctor is 1 hour behind, oh well, you can just wait. More interested in prescribing medications than determining what is going on.
Dr. Daly has been my doctor for 8 years.He is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful, as well as kind, professional and willing to listen and respond to questions/concerns. He has seen me through two very difficult depressive episodes and supported me completely. I would (and have) recommended him to others based on my experience as a patient of his during the past 8 years.
