Misdiagnosed two problems. Have permanent wrist loss of ROM. Would NEVER recommend him. He should have retired years ago!
I hope to God I've got the right Dr. Idler. Some 27 years ago, I arrived at St. Vincent hospital in Indianapolis with a gross hand and arm injury. August 22, 1991, I got my arm caught in a conveyor belt and almost ripped off. My momma was told several times that I would lose my arm to my elbow. Then suddenly this angel arrived and saved my arm and hand. Richard Idler, I wish I could see you, hug you, and show yor 1991 skin grafts. U R my angel and I wish I could show you my gratitude. Thank you
Dr Idler gets right down to business. No small talk :) He is focused on getting you the care you need now and go from there. So far he has been spot on with what needs to happen.
Dr Idler came highly recommended from friends in the medical profession. He has seen me multiple times for broken bones to nerve decompression. Absolutely the best hand surgeon in the area. He spends as much time as needed to explain the details to his patients. No pain or scars after repair.
This type of medical care need is new to me so I was a little apprehensive, but felt I needed evaluation. Exam and X-rays confirmed arthritis in thumb joint on left hand. Decision made to do a cortisone injection to see if it helped. The entire exam and injection process were gentle and easy...I’m not a great shot person, but it was not as bad as I had thought it might be. I would reccomend Dr. Idler for any similar need.
Thank you Dr Idler for your advice and help with my recent recovery. Appreciate you taking time to listen and offer your professional inputs making it best for a patient. Best Wishes, ST
Experience was excellent.
He was very knowledgable, took an x-ray, and gave me his diagnosis, which was followed by the 2 alternatives from which I had to choose. He understood when I said that I would like to take time to think and pray about it.
Quickly got an appt and got in to see Dr Idler. Office staff was efficient and friendly. Dr diagnosed problem and provided immediate treatment and scheduled a follow up appt
