I'm very surprised of the negative reviews on this site, but I guess that comes with the territory when you are dealing with patients that need psychiatric care. I personally had a fantastic experience with Dr. Phelps, he is very knowledgeable and was the first psychiatrist that was able to diagnose me appropriately and treat my illness effectively. I feel like a brand new person all thanks to him, I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Phelps to anyone.
Dr Phelps was cold and indifferent. He acted like he knew all about me within the first 5 minutes of meeting me. He asked questions that had nothing to do with what I was talking about, and seemed to be more concerned with his professional liability than whether or not I actually was doing better! I came to see him feeling depressed, and left angry and frustrated. I actually told him what worked for me in the past, and he REprescribed it (anyone could have done that) but he doesnt care
Dr had an answer for the issue I was dealing with. Medicine worked but was still required to come for visits every 6 weeks! (5min visits) I made a mistake, missed one visit. I called to reschedule receptionist was rude and reminded 3x I was penalized 40$. I have just not had time&extra cash to make it back. I have called and advise them of the withdraw I'm having. It's horrible. I'm dizzy to the point driving is not safe. Now I'm going to my GP for help. people on same meds get 6mnth/year script

very attentive, when I had a problem he called me after hours and put me at ease, he saw me first thing the next day. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Phelps professional demeanor and kind caring nature.
I left Dr. Phelps' office crying. He told me I didn't have enough motivation and was extremely closed-minded about my problems. He made me feel so much worse than when I came in and undermined everything I had to say. I even gave him a second chance and returned for another visit to his office, which resulted the same way. I would NEVER recommend him to ANYONE.
I really like dr. Phelps. He is very knowledgable and helpful with treating my severe anxiety. He listens to what I have to say and doesn't prescribe me medications that don't help long term. I was looking for a treatment. NOT a coverup and Dr. Phelps has done wonders for finding the best long term treatment, unlike a lot of my other doctors in the past. I highly recommend him. He truly cares about his patients issues and that seems so hard to find these days.
