I was referred to Kr Kapur via my eye doctor. My symptoms were similar to metamorphosia. When I look at the Amsler grid, the lines are wavy. At my visit, people are coming in and out of the exam room, she is telling one of her employees to run to the store immediatly, she does and eye exam and after scheduling my next appointment says, let us know if the lines get wavy when reading the Amsler grid...I was in shock, walked out and thought what racket...here for the paycheck.

Several years ago I had a vision "emergency" and quickly got scheduled to see Dr. Kapur in Rockford. I see her a few times a year to get my eye problem checked. I have found Dr. Kapur to be a remarkable retinologist and appreciate all of the care she gives her patients. A few years ago I was in for my appointment and mentioned that my husband, who had driven me, was having certain visual symptoms. She was concerned enough to have me bring him in from the car so she could evaluate because it sounded like a retinol detachment ... read more

Having retinal disease is frightening, but Dr. Kapur's matter-of-fact demeanor and incredibly skillful treatments have given me confidence I will be able to retain my sight. I have been to other ophthalmologists and she is, by far, my favorite. I have referred my daughter to her and recommend her to anyone in need of a retinal specialist.

I went to the ER at Northwestern (Huntley, IL) because I lost vision in my left eye. It took 4 hours to be seen. Dr. Kappil (Ophthalmologist on call) left instructions for me to call a number the next morning for a retina specialist. I called and Dr Brodowska returned my call, Dr Brodowska gave me a million excuses why she could not see me that Saturday. The one that stood out was she did not have the proper equipment. Dr Brodowska suggested That I go to RUSH hospital ER !!! I asked would they be waiting for me or do I wait ... read more

Easily one of the best experiences with a doctor and staff I've had to date! The office is kind, good humored, and up-front about costs related to insurance, etc. (You are even given a handout when you become a new patient so that you are not blindsided by costs associated with care!). This experience took the edge off of any anxiety I have when stepping into a doctor's office. Kapur is a wonderful soul and VERY knowledgeable in her field. I would recommend her time and time again to anyone in need of retinal / eye care.

Very rude doctor. I did not have a good experience with her and would not recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Kapur is very rude. I am a medical professional and I am tired of things not being explained to my mom. She tells her she needs a procedure but never explains what to expect, apparently it is our responsibility to ask the techs these questions. She's always in a hurry, always late, overbooked and 3/4 appointments so far have been rescheduled. We wait up to an hour to be called on. She refused to change gloves from another patient (I watched this) and when I nicely asked she told me it's not a sterile procedure, she doesn... read more

Dr. Kapur has been really excellent both with my Detached Retina surgery and my post surgical recovery regimen! Her office staff is friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable, as she is. I would recommend her to anyone, anytime; five stars! Dr. Kapur is firm in her post surgery directions which I really like because a patient needs to follow these orders to the letter, as she has instructed, for best results from an eye surgery!
