I have 3 children (23, 12 and 9). I've lived in different states and had several pediatricians in my life. Dr. Raquel Mena has been our favorite. He knowledge of medicine and her bedside manners is one of the many reasons we have her as our Dr. There is not an illness my children have had that she didn't diagnosed properly. By far she is our pediatrician of choice.
Dr. Mena only noticed my son's enlarged tonsils after I told her and never listened to my son's heart to hear a murmur that I caught myself. She said she would order an ENT referral and forgot about it. When the office did place an ENT referral a week later (after much struggle on my end), it got denied because she didn't document enough information for necessity of the referral. She is incompetent in her assessment of patients and does not follow through on things that she says she will do.
