I am in my sixties and have had numerous GPs throughout my life. Dr. Halley is the most superior I have ever had and I feel the best I have in a while under his care. He understands the problems of late middle age and addresses everything and answered all questions
Dr. Halley seems more interested in his patients at the nursing homes than he does about the patients that come to his office. The office staff is not reliable to inform patients that he is out of the office & that an assistant will replace him. It is not clear if the assistant is a PA or RN. When appointments are scheduled, the staff should tell patients that the doctor will be out & give them the option of seeing his assistant or to reschedule on a date when he will be in the office.
I recently had a new patient appointment with Dr. Halley. Shortly after checking in, I was taken back to an examining room by a woman who advised me she would be doing my examination. Dr. Halley was seeing nursing home patients & would not return to the office until September! From the time I scheduled to the date I was seen was 2 weeks. I was never advised that the doctor was out nor that his assistant would see me. I am very disappointed & feel this is highly unprofessional.
This Dr is treating my 83 yr old mother who just entered a nursing home for rehab and yes she has significant health issues but prescribing morphine to an elderly patient because it's beneficial to her heart????? Really?????? The research I've done shows the negatives far outweigh the positives and I am doing everything possible to keep this from happening! He is arrogant, and I do not trust his judgement at all!
3 years as patient. Very good at not checking your ears, nose, throat, or anything else for that matter. Clinic very good at taking your money. Not impressed. I have new doctor. Much more interested in my health.
