Had my prostate, enucleated 12/07/2023… HoLEP IS A STATE OF THE ART PROCEDURE… AND DR KUO IS A MASTER OF THE PROCEDURE… NO COMPLICATIONS… NO BLOOD IN URINE, NO BURNING, NO PAIN… BE PREPARED TO HAVE FOLEY CATHETER IN FOR 3 DAYS.. NORMAL… YOU WILL WEAR DIAPERS FOR A SHORT TIME, AND PADS AFTERWARDS. NORMAL.. My 4 minute annual urology exam consisted of handing me lab work for PSA lab work. It did NOT include: DRE Exam recommended for men over 50, no urinalysis, no bladder scan, requested specific lab work, Doctor said "it was okay a year ago" so no need to check it.
Sat 45 minutes in the waiting room. He was late. Sat 1 hour in a tiny examination room. Where's the Doctor ? He is fixing his computer. I could understand being late if a patient needed extra time. If one had an emergency ABSOLUTELY. REALLY gets my goat his problems come before his patients. Cheap skate, buy a new computer if that one is broken. I drove 45 minutes to get there. PAID the $48.00 co-pay and got NOTHING done !
Kind, knowledgeable, experienced and listens to the patients. Staff friendly, courteous, and also knowledgeable. I, as a physician myself, was and am impressed. I had a follow up appointment 8 days after the first. I got into excruciating pain, sent a telehealth message, relating this at night about 4 days after first appointment, and his office called the next morning brought me in, discussed the tests and immediately scheduled surgery to fix the cause of the pain. 5/5 rating.
He is the best.. just got a letter that he is leaving the capital region.. my heart it broken… now who do I see.I feel when I had my kidney stone.. that he removed while he was in there he looked around and he flipped my bladder and found 3 spots on my bladder that were cancer by he finding them he saved my life.. He will truly be missed… I would drive 100 mile to stay with him.. Thanks for everything Dr Kuo
I had HoLP surgery done March 1 2021 by Dr. Kuo. The results are incredible. I was treated well throughout the process and the results to my health and quality of life are amazing. He is a talented doctor.
Dr. Kuo performed HoLEP surgery on me in March 2021; I had a significantly enlarged prostate and reduced urine flow. The results couldn't be better—the vastly improved flow makes me feel like I'm in my 20s again, and so does my unimpaired sex life. In my opinion, Dr. Kuo is THE HoLEP surgeon of choice in greater Albany. I couldn't recommend him more highly.
Dr Kuo is fabulous!!! Very knowledgeable and professional!! He really listens to his patients. I will continue to go to Dr Kuo!!! His NP Suzanne Mains is also fabulous!! Very knowledgeable and consults with Dr Kuo when bad stuff is happening. Very grateful to have a wonderful urologist and NP!!!
