Dangerous over medication. Ignores or doesn't know bad side effects & interactions of several drugs he continues prescribing.

Dr. Atiq has been my psychiatrist for 10 years. He truly saved my life. When I’m at my lowest he helps me to see more clearly.

I gave Dr. Atiq 1 star...as it forced me to when writing a review. I was in a vulnerable place while under his care. The nurses, therapists, MHT's and social workers were all wonderful, kind, and compassionate. I am a survivor of PTSD and major depression. Dr. Atiq made statements to cultivate guilt and shame; rather than acknowledge the symptoms of my functioning in light of my experiences. His tone was arrogant, haughty, sarcastic and his comments only triggered my abuse history. When I assertively told him it wasn't okay ... read more

Was seeing him for about 3 years. Very professional and listened to everything I had to say. Only reason I’m not still seeing him is because his practice doesn’t take my insurance. Would highly recommend his as a doctor.

Did not stop prescribing the med that has now caused me permanent tinnitus and gi issues even though I asked him several times. Would not recommend this guy to my worst enemy.

Horrible example of professionalism for the mental health field. Very judgmental. He spoke down to the staff in front of the families visiting. Yelled at a nurse in the common area. I felt so bad for the RN's and therapist who have to submit to his authority. He made it known that he was the top dog and nobody questioned him. Very disappointing experience for my family member who left after no psychological testing and no plan. He repeately told me he was just a bandaid and it's not his job.

I would not recommend this Dr. to anyone. All he does is write prescriptions, he doesn't try to help with your problems or solutions. He sits and types while your trying to talk to him and then he just gets up and your appointment is done. Would not even give one star!!!

I have been seeing Dr. Atiq for about 3 or 4 years now and we have developed an excellent rapport. He listens attentively to my problems and expresses genuine concern for my struggles. I sincerely believe he puts patient care and outcomes as a top priority.
