There are not enough words to explain how thankful I am that this fantastic rheumatologist was brought into my life! He truly is absolutely brilliant. Yes, this doctor is a "big deal" cause he's well known for his intense research and discovering a (shall we say a 'new' type of arthritis) naturally called the YAO Syndrome." That was the FIRST thing he examined me for, but I knew that I didn't have The Yao Syndrome prior to my appointment which, btw, was scheduled 2 full months from my original phone call. Dr. Yao takes his time listening to your concerns. He explained everything thoroughly and was helpful in diagnosing Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.
Dr. Yao has saved my quality of life- he listened to me and did not dismiss my concerns. He is very knowledgeable with autoinflammatory and NOD2 mutation (Yao syndrome) - so blessed to have found him after over 20 some years of misdiagnosis
