It is hard to overstate how horrible the patient experience at this clinic is. They are cash/check copay upfront only which is inconvenient but not terrible. They will not bill insurance before charging you so I had to pay out of pocket when they couldn't figure out my cobra coverage ($250 for a 13 minute visit). They are currently requiring you take an onsite covid test before your visit for $40 per time and will now allow you to bring in the readily available same free tests with you to skip the charge. Dr. Macedo is exceptionally knowledgeable. After unsuccessful years with many other doctors, he truly changed and saved my life. His staff is gracious and always willing to help, as well.
Too bad we can't put zero stars! As many others have mentioned, this office is a disaster. I strongly recommend you Google the Washington Post article on him from 2000. Dr. Macedo prescribed a serious drug for my wife and said he would need to see her in 2 weeks to re-evaluate. They then refused to see her because they said she "lied" when she completed her intake forms, not saying her visit was related to litigation.
