He's definitely not the warm and cuddly type but he's smart and I trust his judgement. He fixed my back 10+ years ago and he gave me excellent info on how to get another injury (not his specialty) treated. Definitely my first choice.
I am sorry for the review below and the ongoing pain and frustration. I however, have had a very different experience with Dr. Delio. I was just about to finish my RN degree and had a simple injury go very wrong after a greedy doctor put a device in my body and caused permanent neurologic damage. Dr Meller is a no nonsense Dr. I like him because he is not anxious to prescribe medicines for you just because you walked in. He will ask questions to try to get to the bottom of your complaint, but I don't mind, and I like it that he will try to work with you if you're willing.
This doctor should give up medicine. He is arrogant and condescending. He asked my 16 yr. old daughter embarrassing questions that were not necessary to ask. He embarrassed her and insulted me. I am going to file a complaint against him.
Dr. Meller is rude, argumentative, condescending, mean, unprofessional and lacks any empathy or concern for the patients he sees. I have never experienced such awful treatment by a doctor. He takes advantage of his position and his patients as most of the patients that go here I assume have no other choice. I went only because it was a Sunday and the cold I had was getting much worse. Dr. Lum saved my eye from being eviscerated . Five other ophthalmologist advised me to remove my eye because their was no sight in the eye and it was causing me severe pain. Two of those doctors were experts in the field of glaucoma at Jules Stein Eye Institute. Dr. Lum cared enough about my eye to think out of the box and use a contact lens as a band aide to prevent my eye lid from bursting the blisters that had formed on my cornea from sustained high eye pressure. I went in to my visit with a severe illness, I'd been told by another doctor it was food poisoning. I had some bad fish, got sick, and didn't get better. 6 days and I was getting worse; violent stomach pain, chills, and nausea, and insomnia. I wanted to get some tests run to make sure it wasn't a more serious condition. He walked into the room and rolled his eyes at me for no reason. Delio is very bright and highly regarded and I do not doubt that he has helped a lot of people. But that has not been the case for me. Granted, I have a complicated painful condition and there is no one size fits all treatment for it. Because of this he gets impatient, and will make conclusions that are hasty and not well thought out. In many cases his treatments have completely contradicted each other.
