Misdiagnosed me with achilles tendonitis. Put me in a boot for 4 weeks and physical therapy for 8. Within 2 weeks of being in the boot I was in more pain in it than not. I asked for an MRI, he said no need. I go through all this physical torture and was still in pain. I went to a foot specialist and got an MRI, and it showed a stress fracture in my ankle. Put in a cast immediately. Which should have been done months ago. As an athlete and a senior in HS, there went my last season to play.
He talk down to me and did not care about my opinion. He had an arrogance about him. Never going back. Office staff flat and they are not so helpful. Only one helpful was OR coordinator she suggested I seek a second opinion. She was so right.
Totally satisfied with my total knee replacement. I'll be looking him up again when the other one needs replacing.
After suffering a slap tear in my right shoulder, Dr. Holtzknecht treated me like family from the outset. He reviewed my condition, explained the damage that occuref, explaind what he would need to do and what the reults would be. He was always professional and treated myself and my family eith great care and concern. If you you are in need of any orthopedic care, he is the one you want treating you. It is also good to know he served in the armed services, defending our country.
I may still need to have a knee replacement on down the road but Dr. Holzknecht was able to help me without invasive surgery.
Knowledgeable and detail oriented. Dr. Holzknecht has been my provider as well as the provider for my family. He gave an injection that I barely felt and has given my sister hopes of running again after her recovery. He's excellent!

Dr. Holzknecht has a combination of excellent interpersonal skills/bedside manner, and outstanding medical knowledge and acumen, both of which combine to give the patient immense peace of mind in the course of action that needs to be taken. Me and my wife have both seen Dr. Holzknecht several times and consider him our 'family' doctor for the variety of musculo-skeletal ailments that our active lives have given us. What's more, the Therapy Center connected to his office is SUPERB!
