Selecting Dr. Peter Bono to perform my microdiscectomy was one of the wiser decisions I've made. He was highly recommended from several people, most importantly from my referring Dr who's daughter recently had the same procedure with Dr. Bono. I went from not being able to stand while brushing my teeth to zero pain immediately post-surgery. I'm currently 5 weeks post-surgery and feeling great. Surgery 12/5/24. L5/S1 Discectomy. Could barely walk going into surgery. I am very athletic and did not want to sacrifice my abilities by having this operation. Since the surgery, I have sailed thousands of miles on many boats, Hiking 10-15 miles at a time through rough terrain in the mountains. Climbed one hundred tress in one day (that took 12 hours). Dr. Peter Bono did my ACDF C4-7 on 11/18/24. From our first office meeting I felt completely comfortable with him. He viewed my MRI’s, X-rays etc.and he made a plan for me that addressed all my issues which were many. What a relief.
