Dr. K canceled one hour before my appointment. I was very understanding about the cancellation, it happens. They said that they cannot fit me in until February 26 after waiting 3 months and dealing with terrible head pain. The scheduler that I was dealing with was very nasty and said, 'doctor's cancel all the time, you're going to have to wait.' Your staff needs some lessons in compassion. I do not want to go to a doctor that can cancel at any time but not care about the patient.
Did not like this doctor at all. He performed a test on me at the hospital. He was very cold and looked scruffy looking. Did not act professional at all.
I tried to make an appointment. Staff member became rude when I took too long answering the question 'why I am being referred 'while making an appointment. Sorry that I was trying to read my doctors reason for referral

Might be the worst doctor I’ve ever dealt with. His office staff is legendary for their rudeness and downright nasty attitude.
I had a stroke at 23 and spent weeks in the ICU. Jersey Shore referred me to Dr K upon release. I was in pain and at the time he was prescribing narcotics. This was over 10 years ago- I had no idea what hydro- morphine was but I took it 3 times daily (in addition to 3 oxytocin) as directed on the bottle. From what I understand Dr K is no longer aloud to write scripts for narcotics and I’m thankful. I recently saw Dr. Kostoulakos as a new patient. I have a traumatic brain injury from a recent car accident. When I called, I specifically asked if they saw and treated patients with this problem and do they take motor vehicle accident insurance they replied they do. After my visit with the doctor he prescribed several tests for me to take to get a baseline of my condition. Unfortunately, the motor vehicle insurance company denied the tests.
