Pam was incredibly validating, supportive and thorough during my ASD assessment. She gave me plenty of opportunities to provide extra evidence and went above and beyond in getting a clear, accurate and comprehensive report written. She supported me in advocating for myself, handled interviews with my family sensitively, and gave me the chance to fill in the gaps where more evidence was needed (rather than making snap conclusions). Horrible experience getting a late autism diagnosis in early 2019. Instead of looking at my disorganisation and lack of routine as signs of the very common co-existing ADHD, Pam used those aspects to question whether I was autistic. I felt interrogated rather than questioned. And she flat out questioned my abuse and forced me to relive it as part of the diagnosis (which is not necessary) and did not make me feel safe in doing so; it only added to my trauma.
