As part of an annual physical, my MD ordered blood tests.I had no symptoms, but the MD didn't like what she saw.I then went to doctors of varing specialties, one suggesting I see an oncologist. I can't thank everyone that works in the West Valley & Tarzana office enough: Maria Venessa Jessica Melody Dan and the amazing Dr Shaye. Venessa went above and beyond to get me in for an appointment prior to my surgery. I had trouble obtaining a referral to an oncologist; Venessa heard this when mine was received and was able to get me in. Dr Shaye has been the most blessed and caring doctor with true desire to help his patients. He was my guide through a long journey of uncertainty and was encouraging. When I expressed pain or emotional distress he was there to encourage inner peace and confidence. His staff is equally generous and kind. Wonderful work ethics.....

Dr. Shaye is great, but the office staff cannot process prescriptions in a timely fashion. I wait for my cancer drugs every month, often missing my start date, because the staff will not respond to requests (faxes and phone calls) from Optum Pharmacy to send the recent prescription from Dr. Shaye. This is getting old. Another doctor told my wife that Shaye's office has a reputation of inefficiency throughout the West Hills medical center. Dr. Shaye is a very caring doctor and wants the best outcome for his patients. The office staff and nurses especially are great.
Dr Shaye is the best doctor for a patient with cancer. He is professional, personable, and extremely knowledgeable. He is clear when explaining the diagnosis and treatment options. He is comforting and positive in his communications. He is only interested in the best outcome for his patients. Front desk staff is very helpful and friendly. Insurance dept is awesome. Treatment nurses and Phlebotomists are excellent. Best care you could receive.
