I would not refer friends here. I became suicidally depressed from the intense hormone cocktail he gave me. If you're down to be a guinea pig and take experimental treatments, this place might be OK for you. Personally I didn't understand the risks I was signing up for when I told him I was worried about the side effects of normal hormone replacement therapy, and agreed to essentially let him use me as an experiment, giving me extremely high doses of testosterone, estrogen, and synthetic progesterone all at once. I had a surreal interaction with the personnel in this office. I got in there because the door was open and I thought I was getting into my new Dermatologist's doctor office. As I came in, the receptionist came in and asked me politely if I needed anything. The moment I said that I was looking for Dr. (Name)'s office, instead of simply telling me that I was in the wrong suite, or helping me, she asked dryly: "Have you read the sign on the door?" I decided to write this review because I experienced too many painful visit! Finally, at my last visit earlier today, I reminded him when he was going straight to cut without waiting for the numbness to take effect! O’Dea ignored my reminder that it was too painful on me last pellet hormone procedure. He did it again this time as painful as last time! I like him to understand it takes a lot to get ready for his procedure, particularly with too many past painful visits!
I can’t say enough positive things about Dr. Odea. He’s a genius and the best endocrinologist I’ve ever been to! He listens to your story, what you want from HRT, and knows exactly how to deliver what you asked for. I’m so grateful to him because hormones never made me well. I was tired, irritated and too emotional. With the right balance of testosterone and estrogen, I feel better than ever!
