I have been in the care of Dr. Patel for two years. At my first appointment he quickly identified that I needed both my hips replaced. It was difficult to hear, but over the course of the last two years, I have had both hips replaced with Dr. Patel performing the surgery. The results have been remarkable; the daily pain I felt completely disappeared within days of the second hip replacement. Dr. Patel is a great surgeon who I have complete confidence and trust in. The total hip replacement surgery he performed for me gave me my life back. He is also great at explaining options, answering questions and letting the patient decide what is best for them. I highly recommend Dr. Patel!
Dr. Patel and his team at John’s Hopkins Orthopaedic in Bethesda have successfully completed a total R knee joint replacement for me. I am in my third month of recovery and am currently working on independent walking and balance. At this point I am virtually pain free with some morning stiffness. I continue with outpatient physical therapy with a focus on aqua therapy, and use a cane for mobility assistance.
