Misdiagnosed my wife with Afib gave her blood thinner and when she had a reaction told her to stop medication. Short while later she had a mini stroke and was hospitalized. It was later determined by another cardiologist that she did not have Afib but will now be on medication for the rest of her life. To add insult to injury we were placed for collection for $175. Disgraceful !!

I was recommended to Dr. Shachter shortly after my heart attack. My cardiovascular surgeon gave me less than a year to live, Dr. Shachter I believe is the reason for me still being here, nine years later. The doctor treats each patient with what works best for them, a realistic approach that takes time and effort, something Dr. Shachter is generous with.

Following two heart attacks, surgeons placed a stent in my artery supplying my heart with blood, they should have inserted three, and in following surgeries, they realized it was too late, and I was given a year at most. The type of doctor we wish all doctors would be. Took his time. Listened. Didn't talk down to me. And most importantly, explained what everything meant. Literally the first DR I've encountered in my life that explained not just WHAT a prescription did, but HOW it worked.

Under his care he failed to spot a 99% blocked artery which led to me having a heart attack. Then on a folowup visit from surgery he kept me waiting in his office for an hour

Dr. Shachter is the kindest, most knowledgable Doctor I've been to. He actually sits and talks with me while most doctors just stare at a screen the whole appointment. Dr. Shachter has helped me tremendously both in the office and when I needed him most, in the hospital, he was there for me. If you want care and expertise I recommend this gentleman.
