I was referred, by my opthalmologist, to Dr. Finnen 6-7 years ago for repair of a detached retina. Dr. Finnen examined me very thoroughly and repaired my retina several days later, performing the surgery late on a Thursday night. All went well. Several months later, I visited my regular opthalmologist, a doctor who had been practicing for 40 years. He said something that stunned me: "That is the best retinal repair I have ever seen." That says a great deal about Dr. Finnen's skill as an eye surgeon.
Rude bedside manner. He hadn't read my chart. He asked me why I was there if my vision wasn't bad. I was there because my optometrist had referred me to get an issue checked by a specialist. He doesn't answer your questions. He wasn’t up to date on research on a common cancer drug. Worst experience with a medical professional ever.
Was a referral to this office. Waited 3 hrs to see him for less than 5 minutes. He was extremely dry and has no personality at all. I believe he hates his job. Stay clear if u can.
