Karen Feagin, RN – OR/PACU Nurse, deserves every bit of recognition possible. My wife, Shanita, was under Karen’s care, and I cannot say enough about the level of compassion, professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine kindness Karen showed her. Shady Grove has been such a wonderful place and has such a wonderful and caring staff. I was running late for my procedure and they called me and did all my pre procedure interview over the phone while I was stuck in stand still traffic. The nurse Sidney was phenomenal at keeping me calm once I arrived. Dr. J was also amazing and had such a calm and easy bedside manner.
I found the OR team consisting of, Jimina, Karen, Ira, Shernique and Dr. Jiang made me feel comfortable during my egg retrieval. I didn’t feel rushed and my questions were answered. It was a smooth process overall. My family member was able to come back into the pre op and PACU. They were thorough in explaining what to expect afterwards. Especially pre op nurse Jimina was very kind. Service with a smile.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but fertility treatment is far too personal, expensive, and time-sensitive for patients to feel this unsupported. Unfortunately, my biggest takeaway from this center is that I did not feel cared for. Communication has been consistently frustrating. Getting clear answers feels like pulling teeth, portal responses can take 24 hours, and actually speaking with someone often requires specifically requesting a phone call.
