Besides being a skilled surgeon Dr Akl listens and from there works on the solution. After my surgery I had an infection problem and he was right on it. The communication between him and his staff is fantastic. I never felt abandoned. Speaking of his staff, they are well organized and run an excellent office. I admit I was a bit apprehensive about having surgery but Dr Akl was reassuring and I'm glad I did; I feel better every day. Thank you all so much.
I highly recommend Dr. M. Akl. I have been his patient for some time now & suffer from a bladder disorder. He is not only very knowledgeable in his field but compassionate. He listens patiently & gives more than one alternative to your treatment options...he's not one to jump to surgery. His staff is also kind, understanding & thorough.
My primary Dr. referred me to Dr.Akl. The best thing that happened to me. Dr Akl explained everything and addressed my concerns. I was gave several options and I chose surgery. I'm so happy with my results. The office personnel are so professional. I will and would refer Dr. Akl to all.
I received successful care and surgery for my bladder sling and rectocele from Dr. Akl in September 2018. Although I am still in the healing process, everything went as expected. Dr. Akl explained the procedures and what I should expect afterward prior to the surgery. He and his staff were always courteous and responsive to any needs I had while under his care. I highly recommend him.
This office is amazing. I was told that surgery was an option, just depended on my goals and what i wanted. I was given multiple options for my issues. Ultimately, I chose surgery. It went so much better than I ever expected. So glad that I did this. Dr. Akl explained what to expect, length of recovery, etc. and it went better than I expected. Very quick recovery. I highly recommend this doctor!
My primary care Dr referred me to him and I couldn't be more pleased. I scheduled appointment which was fairly quickly and once determined I need surgery it went also quickly. He and his staff I found very professional. Dr Aki explains everything clearly and actually gives you options of treatment. He also was very easy to speak with. The nurse practitioner in the office is who you see for follow-ups but she is also very professional and easy to talk with.
I believe that I made the wrong decision by getting the surgery. My advice to anyone is to make sure it is serious enough because there are side effects that I was not aware of. It was so much better before the surgery. I only had an issue with my bladder prolapsing during high intensity work outs when I put pressure on my lower body. I have had to forgive myself for making a decision like this on my body. I am now always feeling pressure and dryness which I did not feel before.
