Absolutely horrendous doctors office. Go anywhere else. Called them up for a physical, didn’t tell me they needed previous medical records to be seen for a simple employment physical. But got turned away once there, I asked if I could have someone fax it over quickly while still standing there. I was told I would need to reschedule anyways. Called back two days later to get the fax information so someone could send those records over…and was told she’s no longer taking new patients. I started to see her for the 1st. time dine I have moved to Mt. Vernon in Dec. thank God my fiance have found her very close to my home and was on top of my care and immediately sent me to the near by hospital. Very understanding, concerned about my well being . Easy to talk to and have answered me and fiance’ questions
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME
Dr. James has been my primary care doctor for the last six or seven years and treated me for a range of services from annual physicals, infections, and my random health questions. I appreciate the time she takes to review my labs with me and answering any questions I may have. She is also a nutritionist and can offer natural or lifestyle changes before prescribing meds AND FOLLOWS UP on my progress. Dr James makes patients feel uncomfortable by the way she looks and speaks to them. She has also went into details regarding patient information online.
Though it started off so well that I recommended family/friends to Dr. James, my mind has changed and I will be finding another doctor asap! I've ignored the negative aspects of her practice for a while because I thought she was a good doctor. She's decent, but her level of professionalism leaves a lot to be desired. I'm still in shock that she actually hung up the phone on me....so unprofessional and disappointing! So much for trying to support a woman of color.
I cannot express in words how empathetic and caring Dr. Miriam James is. I was very sick for a very long time and had seen a multitude of different doctors who all dismissed my illness advising me I was healthy and they saw nothing wrong with me. Years went by, I continue to seek help and cries went on deaf ears. I missed 1 appointment not 3 or 4 and her dusty staff think I'm paying 25$ for a missed appointment fee.I'm not buying lunch for the office Dr James need to get her a better staff who charges someone 25$ for 1 missed appointment I see why she have all these bad reviews very unprofessional and thirsty Dr James getting paid regardless her staff think someone owe them not me and not today FIND ANOTHER SUCKER.
Dr James and her staff are highly unprofessional. They lack human sensitivity and also lack empathy. Which I feel is huge part of medical practice and must have. They will discuss other patient information in front of waiting patients which I know is a violation of the HIPPA LAW!!!!!! In the past few years dr James she has accumulated a bigger patient clientele a bigger office and has began giving less attention to patients.
