Fifty years ago, I had surgery done to both my ears. I thought I was set for life and very happy not to wear a hearing aid. As the years past I found that my hearing had diminished over time. As I was concerned, I decided a hearing test would put me at ease. I took my mom to a hearing aid specialist thinking that was what she needed since she had a hearing problem and she required hearing aids. She had so many problems with her hearing aids that I had to take her in for adjustments about every other week, sometimes every week. I didn’t realize until Dr. Mimi bought the clinic that a hearing aid specialist is only required to have a high school diploma and pass a basic test.
