The schedulers refused to give me an appointment with the doctor I was referred to. They told me Dr. Schmerler took care of neuropathy. I waited 6 weeks for an appointment. The first thing he told me was that he doesn’t treat neuropathy. Then he proceeded to tell me that I was pretty, sweet and had a nice smile. He kept saying that he couldn’t believe that I wasn’t married and had no children. He finally said he would order lab work and call me with results. He said I should come back in 3 months and if I was worse then he w... read more
I've seen Dr. Schmerler twice now and both times I was brushed off. I have Dysautonomia and I went back to him hoping he could help me manage my symptoms until I could get in with the specialist, but I was told that it's just my depression and anxiety. He is nice, but I don't feel like he listened to me or my concerns. I brought a list of my symptoms and he only glanced at it before handing it back and told me I was healthy. He checked my reflexes and sent me on my way.
Dr. Schmerler diagnosed my wife's mulitiple sclerosis 22 years ago and we have been with him ever since. He has always taken the time to explain treatment options and the pros and cons. In addition, his support staff have been very helpful. He has been a trusted doctor. He may retire in the next few years, but we will stay with him until that day.
What a great experience.
absolutely not!!!! if i could give him zero stars i would!
Went to see him probably 5 years ago and the experience was so bad I am still telling people about it. Went back to get my test results and took my wife with me to experience it for herself - she thought I was exaggerating.
Following me for cognitive difficulties. Prescribed medication that seems to help. Good "bedside manner."
He was one of the best doctors I’ve seen in a long time. Like that other person said I’m surprise he can’t get a bad rating.
I cannot even believe this man does not have five stars across-the-board?!?! OMGoodness Because of this horrible corona I had a video visit with Dr. S. It was my 1st time with him. In the past I had NP Amy & Dr. Smith… When I heard I would have a new doctor… I was NOT happy. I am an old bird.I am a creature of habit and I don’t like change. I loved Amy and my Dr Smith... BUT...Dr Schmerler was immediately engaging & warm! I was comfortable within seconds with him! I could ramble on & on but I’ll spare you… LOL@myself again… ... read more
