Excellent care with Dr Verenes!
Makes no sense to ask a person with dementia how they are doing. Of course, that person says OK. In denial that they have a serious problem. Also awkward to ask caregiver in the presence of the patient. Ahead of visit, send caregiver a questionnaire to get a more accurate assessment of the patient's memory loss.
