When my crowned tooth got fractured and infected, my regular dentist referred me to Dr. Kunkel who got me in the same day!! The pain I was enduring was terrible; however, minutes after arriving his office, I was all numbed up, my tooth was pulled and shortly thereafter I was on my way. I can't tell you how wonderful he and ALL his staff was in making me feel completely comfortable from the moment I arrived up until the very moment I left. They're ALL Very Professional, Polite, & Awesome!

Had an excellent experience. Had all 4 wisdom teeth removed which is the biggest procedure I've had, but felt more comfortable then any previous experience with a dentist. Would definitely recommend.

I had a major sinus lift and implant done and I have a very small mouth, my case was extremely complicated, but Dr. Kunkel was very thorough and gentle and worked very hard to make me feel comfortable and got the procedure done very well. I highly recommend Dr. Kunkel. His staff is extremely friendly, very helpful and very organized. This can be a nerve wracking experience but the whole team made me feel very at ease.

The atmosphere is peaceful and homey from the moment you walk in. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The doctor eloquently explained the surgical and recovery process in terms that were easy to understand. Great group of professionals that I would highly recommend to anyone that needs dental work or a check up. If you go anywhere else you are cheating yourself!!

Dr. Kunkel and his staff at Pikes Peak Oral Surgery are amazing. My daughter had to have oral surgery. Dr. Kunkel met with our family up front and made us feel at ease. The day of the surgery was a positive experience. Dr. Kunkel made sure that all of our questions were answered. He took the time to call that evening to personally check on our daughter and make sure she was doing well. He then took the time to write a get well card signed by him and his staff. I was supposed to have a root canal that day from another dentist. My tooth was broke straight down the middle. I was told it needed removed, my dentist called Dr. Kunkel. he worked me in and saved me from more days of pain.

Very professional and considerate. His staff was great in all respects. Instructions for post operative sef-care were clear. Dr. Kunkel called me in the evening after the operation to see how I was doing, and that was greatly appreciated.

I was referred to Dr. Kunkel from my current dentist. However, I was already aware of Dr. Kunkel since he had shown great empathy to a close family member who had been diagnosed with stage four cancer. She needed to have oral surgery before she could be treated for her cancer. He was sensitive to her needs as he explained the procedures and helped her assess the direction she wanted to go.
