Super helpful as a communicator, and not looking to rush to surgery. Dr. Higgins was very kind and thorough in responding to my needs.
I had two surgeries with Dr. Higgins in 2015. He was terrific. He explained everything very clearly before and after. He was available when I had questions or complications after the surgery. He was very patient, very thorough, and had a great sense of humor, too. I'd recommend him without hesitation.

Dr. Higgins removed a cancerous GIST tumor from my stomach. I give only the highest accolades to him, his staff, and also his work. I have had no problems with post-op and I also walked out of hospital that day. No infections, and not one issue! Thanks Doc!!

I was recently diagnosed with colon cancer. I thought about going to Seattle for surgery, but went to Dr. Higgins on the advice of my family physician. I am so glad I did. I can't say enough good things about my experience with Dr. Higgins and St. Joseph's Hospital. They treated me like I was a family friend. My care was excellent and I am now cancer free. If I ever need to have another surgery, I will definitely go to Dr. Higgins.
Dr. Higgins is a good communicator and very accessible. He explained the procedure very well and his office followed up with me post-surgery several times. Excellent service!
Dr. Higgins answered all the questions and concerns. We left his office, before the surgery understanding what was involved in the surgical procedure. After surgery, he gave us all the details we needed to feel confident taking our patient home. He is the best surgeon possible. We were lucky our primary doctor referred us to a 5 star doctor.
