I’ve seen this doctor 3 times, and each time he is extremely combative, doesn’t listen at all, and has been wrong about what to do about symptoms. As I’ve seen other doctors they have had to redo or fix what this doctor has encouraged. I can’t more strongly encourage you to choose another doctor.

There should be a '0' Star option for this provider. Beware of Healey. He seems to go by different names (perhaps to avoid his negative history, I'm not sure). Austin Healey, or Micheal A. Healey. My experience with this provider (I can't even bring myself to call him a doctor) was the worst I've experienced. He is arrogant and condescending. I went to see him with my elderly mother, who has been a long-time patient. I've taken leave from my job to care for her. First time I meet this guy he accuses me of being dishonest with my employer. He did this right in front of my mother, who was completely baffled by this interaction and stressed out by it. I have been a patient with Dr. Healey for over eight years. He has a phenomenal bed side manner, addresses my concerns, and always follows up with me on any labs. Dr. Healey's medical staff is just as phenomenal.

I've never had a cross word with any medical professional in my life before Dr Healey. I had been among this clinic for 20+ years but switched clinics because of my terrible interactions with him. He is arrogant, accusatory, gives poor quality care and I believe he's a risk to his clients. He does not listen to patients and imposes his will regardless of your established medical history. 1 star may be too high.

Short summary: I am a 26 year old female and I went to Dr. Healey, after being his patient for roughly a year, with concerns of hip pain and low mobility. Dr. Healey ordered an MRI, he did not review the imagery and proceeded to tell me that the symptoms were caused by “anxiety”, prescribed me an antipsychotic, and wrote in my chart that I expressed concern about not being able to control my emotions (completely falsified). Dr. healey has been great. I always was treated wekl at his office and he was very good at listening and responding to my concerns. Whenever I called in I got my questions answered, and test results back from nurses quickly. I definitely recommend him.

I hope Dr Healey reads these and realizes most doctors have high ratings where he does not. What he fails to realize is that he offers a service that people pay for. When he renders no service when people come to visit him, there is no value to the patient. The patient walks away with less money and no help. This guy is conceited and condescending. I don't know if he can fix it... it's is personality and he's just off-putting. Try any other doctor in this office. You'll be glad you did.

He just doesn't seem to really care about patients. Treats them as a number, and doesn't take into account how life affects each person differently. If something happens out of a patients control treats patients like it is their fault and that they need to take responsibility for something he should be fixing.
