He is kind and gentle. He truly cares about us patients, and he actually hears us when we speak. He comes up with a plan, and brings you along for the ride. Dr Guesquiere scheduled my pump replacement surgery. Without any discussion he had my pump dose lowered from over 19 mg a day to 1 mg a day. For almost one year I had my life totally turned upside down. Then when I questioned him about it he acted like he didn't do that. He never discussed any of that with me. This is a story of recovery. It is my experience with Dr. Gesquire and Spinal Cord Stimulation. If any one reading this review has had a horrible back for years, and tried everything under the sun...cortisone injections, ablation, physical therapy, etc and had no results, please consider this procedure. Dr Michael Gesquiere is one the the few doctors that I have gone to that really cares about you as a patient and has fixed procedures that failed by others. This doctor take’s the time to talk and listen to you. I have had several internal stimulators, the 1st one work great until I had an accident and the wires inside the spine moved drastically, so I had a doctor place a different Stimulator which was installed but didn’t work properly. I’ve been a patient for several years, have many issues related to roof fusion surgery. Dr. Gesquiere is caring, methodical in prioritizing pain remedies, and I owe him my ability to maintain my lifestyle, being active and not relying on pain medications. He placed a Medtronic Intellis spinal cord stimulator in 12/2018 for me and I get 80-90% relief of the nerve pain in my leg that was debilitating. I highly recommend Dr. Gesquiere and this practice.
I just had my 9-week post surgery visit after having my Medtronic spinal cord stimulator implant. As background, I've had 4 previous lower back surgeries over the past 25 years, with 2 in the last 18 months. Unfortunately I had some permanent nerve damage that further surgeries or fusions wouldn't eliminate. My daughters and I have been seeing Dr. Guesquiere for a coupe of years now. He has helped us so much and reduced our need for pain killers greatly. My daughter just got married and thanks to him and his awesome office staff, we danced the night away and had awesome time. I can't thank them enough. I would highly recommend Dr. Guesquiere. He truly cares and wants to help his patients get relief and enjoy life.
I was suffering from back pain for so long and tried various options to no relief. I was referred to Dr. Gesquiere - he is my angel! The spinal cord stimulation has given me a new lease on life, no more cane or wheelchair! It is a miracle Dr. Gesquiere along with the Medtronic rep spent time explaining the procedure at length. I have heard of other types of spinal cord stimulation, but knowing what I know now, I wouldn’t have anyone but Dr. Gesquiere perform this procedure.
