My father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He traveled from Las Vegas to UCLA where we were not confident in the doctors. We were so fortunate to find Dr. Bouvet at UCSD. The entire care team was excellent. Dr. Bouvet performed a very complicated procedure known as The Whipple. It was even more tricky due to my father's advanced age. My dad survived the surgery and had almost another five years of life due to the brilliant surgeon Dr. Bouvet. Our family was eternally grateful .
I was seen by Dr. Bouvet in August of 2022 for an adrenalectomy consultation due to severe symptoms of an adrenal adenoma. Immediately upon entering the room, this man ordered me to "lift my shirt and show my belly" and went into a complete spiral of how I'd need to lose 70+lbs and both go on a liquid diet for months and consult his "buddies" (a nutritionist and gastric bypass surgeon) in order for him to even consider doing surgery on me. Dr. Bouvet performed a total thyroidectomy on my husband and it was a complex situation with the size of it. He did an incredible job and we are grateful.
