I found my entire experience with Dr. Alapatt and his office tremendously rewarding. My original phone contact with Ann was reassuring and she arranged a prompt appointment to deal with my pain. Dr. Alapatt was knowledgeable, patient, thorough, professional, and spent plenty of time demonstrating the probable causation, treatment, and prognosis for my condition. As a practicing health care professional and healthcare educator myself, I can enthusiastically state the experience earned an A+.
As a nurse, I have never met a kinder physician who listens and actually cares.
Dr Alapaat is a wonderful Doctor and Surgeon !! Very intelligent, very thorough in explaining procedures, excellent bedside manners and very caring. I had an L-4 L-5 Herniated Disc, with disc compression on the root nerve and spine. He performed 3 surgeries on me. First I had a Laminectomy, than a revision of the Laminectomy, and Spinal Fusion Surgery. He has the hands of an angel. And I had more improvement with my pain levels, through each surgery. The best Orthopedic Surgeon around !!!!!!!!!!
Dr Alapatt performed a laminectomy & fusion on my l5-s1 in separate surgeries. He was extremely thorough and not only attentive but very perceptive to my concerns and needs. Dr Alapatt possesses a keen bedside manner and has done a wonderful job in reducing my overall pain and discomfort through surgery.
In November, 2014, dr. Alapatt performed a laminectomy and fusion on my L4-L5 and in 4 days had to remove it. A screw was hitting a nerve but he never replaced the fusion with anything. 5 months later after 3 weeks of rehab and continual pain cysts developed and an ambulance were called and another laminectomy and fusion was performed by another doc. My opinion is dr alapatt did not provide a service for which I would recommend anyone obtaining, but go elsewhere.
Dr Alapatt was very thorough and explained my MRI results in great detail in terms I could understand.
