If I could give him 10 stars I would he is the most compassionate Dr. I have ever been to when I was diagnosed with cancer I literally thought my life was over but he took the ti e to talk to me and make me feel as if it was going to be OK my husband explains him as very professional but could be your best friend and my husband does not like dr.
Professional of course, yet compassionate, understanding and he listens. I value this doctor and I miss him! (contracts didn't renew :( )
He is a doctor from the heart and care very much for his patients trying to get back with him so he can continue to treat me. Do you do my insurance I am waiting for his office to call me to see if he’s taking my insurance now.
Dr Shum has been my doctor for 10 years. I look forward to his continued care.

Going through any health issues and finding the right Doctor has been difficult in California. So I'm glad Dr. Shum was recommended to me. I would have kept my cancer if I had to go back to the other doctor.
BEWARE CANCER PATIENTS. DR. MERRILL SHUM AND HIS STAFF ARE NOT SINCERE OR COMPASHIONATE WHEN IT COMES TO MONEY. MY BLOOD RESULTS ARE BEING HELD HOSTAGE BY HIS STAFF BECAUSE I CAN'T AFFORD A $95 CO-PAY. HIS OFFICE MANAGER RACHEL/RAQUEL TOLD ME TODAY THAT I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO SPEAK OR TALK TO DR. MERRILL SHUM. I WAS HUNG UP ON BY 3 OF HIS RECEPTIONIST TODAY AND NOT ONE OF THEM TOLD ME THAT THEY WERE HAVING PHONE SYSTEM PROBLEMS.
