He’s laid back, pleasant, kind. Very easy to work with.
I have been seeing the good doctor for 3+ years he is treating me for scherzo affective disorder, dimentia and recently Alzsheimers. He is a great doctor, knows his stuff and is always available to converse with me. He is sometimes hard to get into because METRO is a very busy practice. He has been a steady support when I get stressed/confused. He knows how to manage my heavy medications and I see him every 3 months of the year.
I have seen 7 psychiatrist in the past 14 years and Dr Ahmed is not the one who was equipped or able to diagnose my condition, nor was he good at asking me questions or following up to make sure I was mentally doing well and not drowning per say. He does come off warm and personable, but that’s where his expertise as mental health expert ends. I guess if you are going to see him for situational depression and anxiety and just need a general antidepressant or Clonazepam then anyone is good.
Dr. Ahmed was very professional, kind, caring and helpful. He is a good doctor!
The first time I saw him I felt like he could read my mind. He knew a lot about me just from asking me a few questions and listening to me talk. He recommended a medication that worked right away and then we just needed to work on the right dosage and he eventually added another medication. I have not felt better than this in 10 years.
I've been seeing Dr Ahmed for many years now - I've never stayed with any Dr this long. He's always listened to me and always takes me seriously. There have been times where I have felt a bit rushed, but I never feel ignored or dismissed. My only complaint is calling the office for anything, you have to listen to almost 3 minutes of prerecorded messages before you can even press the right option to talk to somebody.
Dr. Ahmed at the end of a single visit was prepared to disregard the insight of more than ten other psychiatrists who had seen me over the previous decade, and re-diagnose me with a condition which had already been considered and ruled out by many psychiatrists with whom I had visited multiple times. In addition, he told me, I don't know any psychiatrists who believe D.I.D. is a real disorder. Be very caution about seeing Dr. Ahmed, and don't take his word as truth. Go elsewhere.
