I had very painful lesions on my face and inside the my mouth, all on the left side of my face. She took some swabs of the lesions and after an hour and half came back and said I had facial cellulitis, a bacterial infection. It was a totally wrong diagnosis. She put me on the wrong meds while I went through the peak of the shingles attack when most of the nerve damage occurs. Two very painful days later I went to a PA. It took her two minutes to see I had paralysis on the left side of my face--Shingles.
