Dr Sweeney is good doctor but not good at follow up and her office is far from competent. When I first saw the Dr she prescribed insulin pen injections but forgot to order the needles, after multiple unsuccessful attempts to contact the office I had to get my primary care specialist to order the needles from me. The second time I saw her it was decided I needed to start using a insulin pump. The pump did not get ordered post my visit and it took 4 weeks of messages before the pump and CGM was called in. I had a great first visit with Dr Sweeney. I've never had a doctor asked me so many questions before putting together her plan. I think some of the bad reviews here are related to her staff. Unfortunately finding a doctor with good staff in Atlanta is virtually impossible....
If I could give a minus, I would. My 84 year old mother has been trying to get a call back as to her order for her blood work for over a week. I was visiting her and could help her out going to a local lab, but unfortunately no one had the common courtesy to call her back. She has had to call 5 times to try to get an answer. This is unacceptable for any patient, but more so for someone who is older and is trying to keep up with her healthcare. Shame on you and your office staff.
I initially had a great experience with my first visit. Until afterwards I can see why the complaints stand. First my labs were 2 weeks ago. No call, no response to voice messages and the worst is I've been billed. I've called twice seeking feedback and medication prescribed. This is absolutely ridiculous. Glad I didn't cancel my other endocrinologist visit that is scheduled another month from now. I only came here for an earlier visit. Now I have a bill with no resolution and no prescription.
