I cannot praise Dr. Carter enough. I walked into her office on a Wednesday, having just been diagnosed with a malignant melanoma on my back. Before I left her office she had arranged for an OR, an anesthesiologist, and the nuclear medicine lab. One week later I walked out of Sibley. Not only is she a great surgeon, but an incredible organizer.
I will never forget the kindness Dr. Carter and her office staff showed us when they squeezed in my daughter (age 6) for forehead stitches in the midst of a snowstorm. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
For a lay person to appraise a surgeon's skill and competence is a tall order. For me, Dr. Carter is as good as they come. She is a force of nature. Brilliant. Responsive. No nonsense. And she surrounds herself with first rate people. The rest of my medical team all have gone out of their way to mention their high regard for her. She is about as badass a surgeon as one could hope to find. I'd take a bullet for her.

Amazing! I went for a suspected situation on my face that my dermatologist had taken a sample but the pathologist indicated a larger sample to get more around the edges was needed. Of course being on my face I was so nervous that more needed to be cut and I needed stitches so I wasn't quite sure what to expect but let me tell you after the stitches were removed I could not even believe what I was seeing how it started healing and I can tell that there will be minimal scarring.
