Dr. Schapiro knows what he is doing. Unfortunately, it takes two hours for a very painful procedure and 15 shots of novocaine to extract an infected tooth. After placing posts for implants, the dentist gave NO instructions or prescribed pain-killers and antibiotics. He did follow-up phone calls, however.
I had a toothache and Dr Schapiro saw me on short notice. He was very thorough and his hygienist and staff were great to deal with.
I went to Dr. Martin Schapiro for pain in my lower left quadrant. It was severe enough that I took antibiotics for the infection and ibuprofen every four hours. In addition to the x-rays that the hygienist took, he suggested an MRI, which had to be done twice because his technician could not position the machine properly. I called the dentist for the results and asked him to call me back. He never did. Additionally, I asked him to repair chipped teeth. I was less than impressed with Dr. Shapiro. I pointed out a chip in my lower incisors and he said he saw it but would not fix it because the bonding would fall out. NO! Not if he did it properly. His receptionist did not submit claims to our insurance companies for spousal coverage sending us bills for remainders.

Dr S and his staff are excellent.
Dr. Schapiro has been my primary Dentist for years and I truthfully wouldn't trust anyone else with my teeth. I currently live in NYC and continue to make the hour plus commute for my dental work. His entire office is exceptionally friendly and welcoming and have always accommodated me in "emergency situations" for chipped teeth and chronic pain.
