Has done an excellent job on all the skin cancer he has removed.
I agree with those who talk about Dr. Doherty's bedside manner. His sense of humor is derogatory. I can handle it, as mine sometimes is, too; but he comes across as arrogant or condescending. In my case, having a really good doctor is more important, as I can handle the personal stuff; and I don't doubt from what others have written that he is very competent. I haven't had to have him do much, so I can't say much about that from experience, but I continue going to him because I've had skin cancer, and he appears to be highly... read more
Dr. Doherty is outstanding at helping to relax and at explaining condition & procedures in layman's terms. I also liked his quirky sense of humor (I can relate), part of his method for help putting me at ease. I'll go back, and refer friends.
Dr Doherty could very well be a good surgeon. I opted to go with another surgeon and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. Dr Doherty’s sense of humor rubbed me the wrong way immediately, I did not find him funny but more offensive to me. If you’re a person that has serious fear issues, he’s not your guy. I felt more belittled upon leaving then entering. He has zero tolerance, time or patience for a patient who has severe fear issues her whole life. I’m 63 but a big fearful baby. I’m not a one size fits all patient. He defin... read more
Dr.D, is was knowledgeable and funny. Plus you can tell he cares about his patients.
Dr. Doherty took a very large skin cancer off of my head. Not only did he do a great job of removal he also I did a great job of reconstruction. This is hands-down the best medical office I have ever attended anywhere. The front end is organized, pleasant and efficient. The nurses and Dr. Doherty are obviously a caring team. The whole organization runs like clockwork. From the very first visit to the last follow up you know that you are being cared for by a team that cares. The humor between the team is so good that I told m... read more
Dr Mark Doherty is very professional. He diagnoses accuratly, and choices the treatment accordingly. Gentle and we have been going to him since 1983
Dr. Doherty was insulting when he first saw me in the exam room. He made a disgusting sound because I was a large woman, I lost confidence in him at that moment. Doctors need to see a patient for their needs, not to be judgmental. I left and realized if he is going to see me and judge me then he does not have my best interest at heart and I found a better doctor that was compassionate and kinder. He should be ready to serve the needs of a patient and not judge. I went on to lose weight and joined in the medical profession an... read more
I had surgery for skin cancer. I have to say that the entire encounter with Dr. Doherty and his staff was helariously entertaining. It was so enjoyable that I am looking for more reasons to go there again. Well, I have these spots on my back....... I will make an appointment. Need a good laugh. Besides that - his surgery skills could win any price at the county fair in the department for fine needle work. You get much more than just superb medical expertise. I highly reccomand him.
