While under my care, patients can be assured that I will personally be the one to conduct an examination, make the diagnosis, follow the case, and perform the surgery, when surgery is appropriate.

Get directionsDr. Henry did my corporal tunnel surgery back in 06. Awesome job awesome Dr. Only person I'll ever let cut me.
Dr Henry has performed two successful surgeries on my dominant hand. The mobility is the same as pre-injury and the scarring is almost nonexistent. He is an expert and someone I will highly recommend to those who are in need of hand surgery.
I was referred to Dr. Henry by a family member. I felt very comfortable with his diagnosis and treatment. His staff are very courteous and helpful. I did have to wait a long time to see him, but he took his time and answered all my questions when it was my turn. I would absolutely recommend him. If you are looking for someone to chat with, or discuss your weekend plans, he isn't the one, but he is a extremely brilliant doctor.
He might be a good surgeon - he certainly has good credentials - but he is a miserable person. He is arrogant, rigid, and totally lacking in empathy. There is much more to being a good doctor than being a good technician. I'd advise you to look for a doctor who is a good technician and who also has some personal skills. Dr. Henry is NOT that person.
Dr. Henry is a very knowledgeable person when it comes to what he does. He doesn't beat around the bush. He is a straight forward type person and will let you know right away it is totally up to you if you want to have surgery for your condition; he doesn't force you into any thing. As most specialist, he has a very high ego and you can tell he thinks he the cream of the crop. He doesn't have time for chatting with patient, he just wants to diagnose you and get on with the next.
Dr. Henry was very knowledgeable and direct. He laid out the options, answered my questions, and did not sugar-coat anything. He was brusque, had no interest chit-chat, and made no attempt to be comforting, but he clearly knew his business and how to achieve the desired result. I called at 8 am, set an appointment for 9:45, then surgery for 3:30. In my opinion, the risk of a long wait due to an unscheduled emergency is more than balanced by the ability to make same day appointments.
Dr. Henry is a skilled, knowledgeable surgeon, but he is very egotistical and abrasive when it comes to his bedside manner. If someone is desperate for a good hand doc to the point where the bedside manner doesn't count, I'd send them to Dr. Henry.
First, you need to understand he sees emergency patients the same day. I was one of those emergency patients. So, if you are expecting to be seen exactly at your appointment time, either you weren't squeezed in for your initial appointment, or you do not realize how lucky you are to be there. No, Dr. Henry is not a kumbaya doctor. If you need to be coddled, this is not your Doctor. If, however, you want good medical care, and want to have use of your hand, this is the place to be.
Dr. Henry made me feel very comfortable at our first meeting. He is very through and patient and listened to everything I had to say. He is the best doctor I have ever met!
