Dr Saunders is the best dermatologist I have seen. He makes sure I understand what is happening, steps he is taking and expected outcome. Not sure if he is considered a teaching doctor but he clearly explains to myself, his staff and even my wife. His receptionist, Carrie, is awesome! She is welcoming, friendly, professional and compassionate.
I have been seeing Dr. Saunders for over three years. He always takes time to answer questions and explain the care and procedures provided. I very seldom have to wait any if at all at the appointments. His staff is very friendly and always tries to accommodate appoints that work with my schedule.
Zero stars! After many years, I am finding another Dermatologist. If you are looking for a new Dermatologist, keep looking.
Doesn't care if you had to go into emergency surgery and can't make your appointment. You will get charged $90.00. Seems like a pretty greedy way to treat a loyal patient.
Dr. Saunders and I parted company years ago. Best move I ever made. I encourage people to go elsewhere whenever possible.
My mother has been without power for two days now and they’re not projecting it to return for another day and a half. She called to cancel her appointment a day in advance because she wanted to be clean etc. She were then informed of the 90.00 fee because they need two days notice. Well this is not our fault. We were hoping the power would come back on & canceled as soon as she realized it wasn’t happening. Two days is ridiculous and so is 90.00. VERY DISAPPOINTED! Some things can’t be helped!

I find it interesting that these reviews are rating the receptionist and not the doctor. I myself think the doctor is exceptional because I've had several that were downright scarey. I agree about the girl up front although she probably is taking all the rules literally. I had an experience with one and wasn't going to return. However, Dr Saunders is exceptional! He is probably the most currently and continuity educated dermatologist I've visited. I've been pleased.
I was driving my grandfather 80 miles to Traverse City from West Branch, and we figured that we would be about 15 minutes late to his appoinment for a melanoma. We called ahead and informed the office of the delay, and the receptionist said that the doctor may not see him because we projected being 15 minutes late.
